Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Advanced Eyecare a proud provider of vision care products and services in Nampa.

Dr. Rodney White

Dr. White grew up in Nampa, Idaho and studied at College of Idaho and then Pacific University College of Optometry. He is a director on the Idaho State Board of Optometry, and is one of the few board certified Optometrists serving in Idaho. Dr. White emphasizes specialty contact lenses, low vision aids and patient education. Dr. White is married to Lisa Elaine of Twin Falls and is a father to Colton Jack and daughters Courtney and Claire. In his spare time, Dr. White enjoys spending time with his family in the beautiful Idaho mountains, hiking and fishing, and now, downhill mountain biking.

Dr. Jacob Watson

Dr. Watson attended the University of Wyoming and received his Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Physiology. He then went on to Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon where he graduated with distinction.  He was also a four year member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. As a fluent Spanish speaker he worked as a translator at the Pacific University Eye Clinics during school. He says that he loves optometry and opportunity he gets to interact with a diverse population of all ages and backgrounds everyday.

Dr. Watson married his sweetheart Abby in 2007. Together they enjoy playing tennis, hiking, camping, and going to the movies. Dr. Watson takes every opportunity possible to get outdoors for golfing, hunting, fishing and whatever else he can find.

Dr. Emily Naugle

Dr. Emily Naugle graduated Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2008. Originally from Iowa, she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a Spanish minor from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI.  Dr. Naugle was a -7.50 myope before she cheated and got LASIK. Along with giving high definition vision through glasses and contact lenses she also shines with patients who have diabetes, glaucoma, and dry eye.

Dr. Naugle married her husband Scott in 2005 and promptly became a Boise State and Cubs fan. She loves kids and is blessed to be the mother of two daughters Charlie and Siena, and a son Ian. You may notice she does not work full-time hours to make time for family. She has a heart for service and has volunteered in many capacities including optometry missions to the Dominican Republic and Mexico and being on the board of trustees for the Idaho Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation. Dr. Naugle enjoys sports, art, her faith and of course her family time. Her favorite sports are volleyball, softball, and ping pong. She also enjoys messy crafts with her children, cake decorating, writing, and playing Pictionary.

Dr. Shelby Strick

Dr. Shelby Strick was born in Salt Lake City but spent much of her childhood bouncing back and forth between Boise and Northern California. After receiving her undergraduate biology degree from The University of Nevada, Reno, Dr. Strick moved to California to attend Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Strick is extremely excited to be back in the Treasure Valley, where she spends her free time volunteering, hiking, playing soccer, snowboarding, and enjoying all things outdoors with her husband, Shane, and dog, Sipsy. Dr. Strick has a special interest in pediatrics, ocular disease, low vision and contact lenses. Dr. Strick is excited to meet new patients with all types of vision demands.

Dr. Daniel Tiller

Dr. Tiller has been enjoying retirement since November of 2017. Thank you Dr. Tiller for your dedicated service to our community of patients! Now he pursues other passions including, rodeo, hunting, fishing and jetboating in Idaho and Oregon with his family and friends.
